The problem with this anime remake sequel is quite simple, it’s far too short, feels more like an episode on TV and everything is just thrown at the audience at an insane speed. Not only are the acting borderline atrocious, the audience simply do not care for the life or death of any of the characters especially if they keep returning to life. Interestingly there is a moment in the film that feels rather fresh, when Eren woke up in a white room with a jukebox, the film attempts to expose some universal truths about the world and the government. However, that scene is never truly explored and the result is a formulaic zombie like poor man’s Hunger Games. This is pretty bad and there is no excuse for it.
I rate it 1.5 out of 5.
