Superman Vs Batman: Dawn of Justice 蝙蝠侠大战超人 (2016) – USA
Reviewed by: Andrew Chan
Director: Zack Snyder
Writers: Chris Terrio, David S. Goyer
Stars: Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams
Despite the largely below average reviews tha have populated the Internet, this is one of the more matured superhero movie of the year. It is dark, deals with much deeper issues and combining the existential nature of the film, it is one epic of a ride. It’s not so much about Batman vs Superman, but the film speaks volume about terror, threats to national security and all the conspiracy that we have grown to know about the world around us. Possessing a good turn by Ben Affleck as the dark knight and Henry Cavill as superman, both are competent in their portrayal. But the scene stealer goes to the well measured villainous performance by Jesse Eisenberg, whose usual fast talking fits rather well to the premises. Amy Adams as Lois Lane is adequate and could have been more, while Jeremy Irons shines as Arthur. The director’s cut provides a deeper story. This is a good gritty film for those that manages to last the distance.
I rate it 4 out of 5.
