Jason Bourne 叛諜追擊5：身份重啟 (2016) – USA
Reviewed by: Andrew Chan
Director: Paul Greengrass
Writers: Paul Greengrass, Christopher Rouse
Stars: Matt Damon, Tommy Lee Jones, Alicia Vikander
The latest film in the long running Bourne franchise is a good one, gritty, thrilling, relevant and more of the same. Matt Damon continues to be the cool headed and mysterious instilled into the action hero he played 10 years ago. The film tries to dabble upon privacy issues, power of social media, hacking concerns, terrorism and corruption at the heart of CIA. Unfortunately it plays too safe in most of the dealings and resulting in a film that we have all seen before. Still there are a lot of positives, Alicia Vikander is excellent and holds her own in a larger role as the new age CIA management with an agenda of her own. Tommy Lee Jones ages well and plays the direct villain that is relentlessly ruthless. The finale car chase is pretty sensational to watch as the SWAT vehicle shows its dominance. For a fifth film in a series, it is probably as good as it can be.
I rate it 3.5 out of 5.
