“With you, I will never grow.”We are into the 9th year of HK Neo Reviews and with the Chinese New Year in the agenda, I would like to wish all readers a great 2012 ahead! 2011 was a year of change in which I decided to finally pursue my passion and attend film festivals around Sydney. Despite my busy full time work in the management consulting field, I have managed to made my hobby of watching movies into almost like a 2nd job. In fact, since October 2011, I have reviewed over 85 films, attended the 15th Japanese Film Festival and now currently covering the 2012 Golden Koala Chinese Film Festival. If all goes to plan, the Hong Kong International Film Festival is next on the list. In 4 months, I have written almost 1 review a day. Now that's impressive considering this is a passion that I am pursuing after long work hours.
With that being said, this cannot be achieved without the support of long time readers of this site, whose emails brighten up my day. I was watching Jump Ashin! the opening film of the Koala Film Festival and it sums up why I am trying so hard to pursue my passion: "you are not only fighting for yourself, but for all those who once had a dream..." I hope I am...
